Hi,
Have this been tested with ultimate64?

Ultimate64
emulates swiftlink..

As far as I know, swiftlink is a UART chip which resides in
in the I/O address space of the C64. Thus, it is neither
supported by the kernal routines nor similar to the UP9600
from Daniel Dallmann. Hence, it is not supported by cater
... but the source code is open.

Again, as far as I know, Ultimate64 (the FPGA implementation
of the C64) can provide a user port. At this user port the
'original' old-fashioned serial hardware described on this
website *should* work.
